WELCOME TO UNDERSTATED LUXURY IN ONE OF
NEW YORK’S MOST PRESTIGIOUS NEIGHBORHOODS

Nestled in the quiet and cozy East Side enclave of Sutton Place, 20 Sutton Place South was planned and built in the 1950's as one of the neighborhood’s first luxury cooperatives. It was designed by the renowned architects Boak & Raad to create the same feel and sense of space of the buildings of the 1920's. This design commitment attracted both Rosario Candela and Paul Resnick – two architects famous in their own right for designing many super luxury apartment houses in the second half of the 1920's – to join the project and lend the cachet of their imprimatur as associate architects in 20 Sutton Place South’s design.

20 Sutton Place South encompasses a unique multi-angle façade, permitting chamfered windows, providing enhanced sunlight and fabulous city and river views. Today, the building combines the mid-century architecture movement with the design details and sense of space of 1920’s luxury apartments. It is a pristine building offering a family friendly atmosphere.
